Hi guys,
got a drive with a formatted partition and recovered a sql file that is corrupt. Is any here that can give me clues on how to repair the file? or have at it?

I recall several cases where an encrypted volume (eg My Book) has been overwritten by partitioning or formatting. A file scan then turns up false positives such a SQL files.

Can you supply more details?

Thank you for the response. The drive is a healthy 500Gb seagate inter drive with originally 2 internal partitions. One is for OS (C) and a data partition. Both partitions were formatted by accident(according to the client). There was a recent backup on the data drive. Did a recovery and found an MDF file which fails to load.
