WD40NMZW-11GX6S1 WDC-ROM SN# XYZ--- 0 capacity

Hello everyone,

i have here this WD40NMZW with PCB 800041-003 - resoldered to SATA (and have a PCB 800022), but it made no difference.
Error -> WDC-ROM SN# XYZ--- and 0 capacity

The hard drive spins up normally and doesn't make any unusual noises.
With DFL-WD software i can read / write all modules and so on.

Modules test via ID - Checksum error and value error

I wrote new checksums (and test 190 from copy 0 and copy 1) the same result.
Module test with ID and ABA (copy 0 / copy 1) now shows NO ERROR.
HEAD-TEST is OK.

But the same error persists - 0 cap. and no serial number. As far as I remember, the error only occurred after i accidentally applied the slow fix (which you're not supposed to do - I know).
Before that, the hard drive was recognized normally.

I've encountered this WDC error many times and always managed to fix it, but I'm giving up here.

Perhaps someone can help me.

Based on what you've said, I'm thinking a 190 issue.
But to start, can you post 02.

Do you have a backup of modules pre-edit?

Is this the kind of symptom one sees after blocking module 0x02 by redirecting it to module 0x0D in the ROM?
