ST31000528AS - PCB Replacment

Hi i have
Seagate ST31000528AS - 1TB
Firmware: CC35
Date Code: 09437

The drive does not power on at all, but the cause is clear.

I managed to read and extract the ROM from the drive. However, the only drive I could find locally is marked as follows

Seagate ST31000528AS - 1TB
Firmware: CC38
Date Code: 10207

My question is: would this drive be a suitable donor?

PCB # - and more importantly the MCU should match.

It looks bad, but it could be salvageable. Remove the shorted diode and run a wire from the SATA power connector to the diode's cathode ("v" on PCB).

Scrape off the carbonised area with a scalpel. It's conductive.
