Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hi guys. I am risking not to get any answers here due to a high competition, however I'll still risk, just out of curiocity.
How do you fix firmware of Seagate drives? What software are you using? We have pc3000 and hrt and can only work with seagates in terminal mode which is a pain in the ass...
Are there any other utilities that fix firmware of seagate drives?
Thanks!
