Hi all,
again a samsung SV2001H. The drive head was damaged. I swapped the heads from another same model drive.
Now the drive is getting detect in the bios.
the model number is correct.
the geometry is correct.
But ........ the serial number is wrong. Its something like $$2041415.
No utility is able to read sectors from the drive.

hi
please post the log from mhdd here ,
the drive status is important , buisy ready.. etc
i dont have much experience with replacing heads but seems
there are firmware problems also , if the serial number isnt shown
correctly the firmware is bad.
