A much better way to fcuk or kill a fuji

A perfectly good working mpg - MHDD scans perfectly, but how to kill it ?

Take pc3k - must be a good working version.

Open drive ID menu and change the serial number, wait for some zillions
of instructions to complete - switch off and restart. If you have performed
the operation correctly your working fuji should be stone dead - no spin.

Far better than mhdd version.

btw. this is a true story.

For those who want to change the SN without disaster try something else.

My english pc3k v14 also "likes to hang" in a inexplicable way with some fujitsu drives.

I also use the cracked v12 russian version (shame on me, i know) on other machines and it seems to work fine. Maybe their fujitsu utilities have some bugs in the v14 version ...
