I have a wd800jb-00fma0 drive with the firmware chip destroyed. Can the drive be fixed or am I wasting my time?

well my freind , i'm also totally new to this , but the drive could be fixed if u have the same chip from another drive with the same firmware .
u can use hotair to substitute it or just use a complete typical board.
Kind Regards
