I have a Fujitsu MPG3409AH-EF drive which appears to have faulty circuit board, this drive has firmware version 800-C3C5. The problem is likely to be the well known problem described at:
http://www.fcpa.fujitsu.com/products/ha ... t-faq.html
I also have another fully working Fujitsu MPG3409AH-EF drive with firmware 600-C3C5.
What issues should I consider before I swap the circuit boards and attempt data recovery on the faulty drive?

Replace boards if there are no mistakes in SA, all you will restore.

I made a mistake in my original posting, I mis-typed the first firmware version number.
The dead drive firmware is actually 800-C3C7.
The working drive firmware is 600-C3C5.
C7 compared to C5, is this a problem?

remove old flash chip, put it to new board. you can not use the new board directly.
