HDD FAILED.HELP!!

I NEED HELP. I HAVE A MAXTOR 30GB AND IT REPORTS 40GB IN THE BIOS AND DOESNT BOOT. IT DOESNT APPEAR IN 'MY COMPUTER' WHEN I SLAVE IT. ANYONE WITH ANY IDEAS PLEASE HELP. WILLYLIXX@YAHOO.COM :(

try change your HDD CABLE which is connected between HDD and IDE CONTROLLER .....

THIS MIGHT SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM....

Hi willy,

there's some data on the disk drive. (designed by maxtor)
If you do some searching about Maxtor you will find out
that some of this maxtor designed data has probably got damaged.

If you contact some expert he / she might be able to get your data.

In order to be most successful you should not power up this drive
again.

Even changing circuit board on your maxtor will not bring this 40GB
Maxtor to the correct size.
