I HAVE 30 GB TOSHIBA MK3021GAS LAPTOP HDD WITH NO POWER IN IT. IS IT POSIBLE TO GET IT DETECTED BY SAME MODEL OR IS THERE ANY SPECIAL PRECAUTION TO BE TAKEN

Hi,
Since the adaptive data and defect info is stored in ROM it is very difficult to replace the pcb, unless u replace the ROM chip or the processor itself if there is no external ROM (I have seen 2 versions of GAS drives).
