Hi guys,
I've got a Toshiba MK6021GAS with its G-list almost full (most likely soft bads). For this reason SMART reports "drive bad". I want to clear the G-list and to format the drive. Any suggestions are wellcome.

You will need something like PC3K PCI version, however, deleting the G-List will distory all user data. As far as I know the Toshiba SMART wont show (Drive bad) unless heads are not doing the correct job so deleting the G-List wont solve the problem. Try to consifer changing heads.

The drive doesn't work normally when it is tilted. It creates soft bads which are put in the G-list

I have the same problem as BGman had.My toshiba(MK4026GAX) drive have lots for red in mhdd(drive do not work properly)..but smart is good..then i put all bad sectors(slow sectors) in glist now drive is work fine till 80% but few bad sector after that and glist is now full as i notice..and smart gone bad in status.
Can any one know how to put Bad sectors Glist to Plist in Toshiba Drive..?
Thanks & Regrads
