Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hello.
I have some problems with this HDD: Seagate 7200.7 120G, ST3120026AS.
When i run checkdisk, it stops at 60%, and doesn't pass that point. I tryed format, zero fill and nothing...Still the same problem. If i use the HDD it will work fine for a couple of days and them the data will start to be corrupted. I suspect bad sectors but all the programs i used, including seagate programs, didn't prove that. And sometimes, the disc isn't detected by the MB (Asus P5GD2 Deluxe) usually after the problems i mencioned.
I had another 7200.7, an 160G and it caused the same problems. Changed it to an WD and never had any problems.
Any opinions about any other programs to use?
Thanks
Sorry about the bad english!
=)
