Just about all of them... should not be changed.
g-list and smart from same model can be used from another - in principle.

If u need the data from the hdd and u have exactly the same firmware then there is no problem in rewriting it ..

rameez i think you are mistaken, many modules are compatible within the same family but modules such as PLIST, TRANSLATOR, DISKS ID, ZONE TABLE each are unique and if written from a different disk all user data will be lost and drive defects such as bad sectors will not be mapped correctly. Disk will be unuseable!
what drive are we talking about here anyway?

If we all agree we can make it better place. We can start a new topic which will be helpful to all of us . What should we do and what not to recover data from hard disk. Any / All
Seagate, Samsung , WD, Maxtor, IBM/Hitachi, Toshiba, Fujitsu.
and SCSI and all other.

In some hdd it may be correct wht u wrote but in some hdd it might corrupt hdd .
good advice go ahead anyone lets start the topic .
