Hello,
I've got Barracuda 7200.7 st380011a and it doesn't boot. I was in service and they checked outer electroniic board and everything was ok, second thing they checked was 'engine' and it is ok too, last thing was heads and electronic devices inside and i think there is a problem. I'm wonder am I able to fix it by replace old heads with electronic from other barracuda hdd with same firmware and close serial number?

Hi,
if the drive have "bad inner electronic" it is not repairable for re use, only for recovery cases.
