Reset W2k3 login password

November 10th, 2006, 0:59

hi, any ideas how to reset the login password. Im using a Dell PE 1850 with raid 1. Somehow I forgot the password and need to reset it. I have tried astrumi to crack the pwd but it could not detect the NT partition. It could be due to the Dell scsi driver which I couldn't find. Any advise is appreciated. Tks in advance.

Thake the OS drive and connect it to a Linux box as secondary drive.
Mount the NTFS partition and remove the windows sam file.
That's it. You put the OS drive back into your Dell box and you will be able to logon without password.
