Maxtor drive problem

I have two hard drives Maxtor 4d040h2 they were both working fine both got the same problems the problems is that when i plug the hdd on the pc there is normal parking and unparking of heads but the hdd does not detect then i tried on pc3k isa the drive was BSY and after 30-40 seconds drive on DSC i put the hdd in safe mode and load with LDR drive hang on initialization . I tried changing the PCB nothing helped . ANY SOLUTION .
