Self Scan Maxtor

Has somebody done selfscan or selftest on Maxtor using pc3k isa please help me out i m stuck .

u need to edit module selfscan.smb and rewrite to disk and module 1F

Thanks for such a fast reply and u have to edit the selfscan structure module and rewrite it in module 1F what do u have to write in that module and how do u edit it by hex editor or there is some special editor for this purpose .

1: download module selfscan.smb
3:download module 1F
2: edit Selfscan.SMB
u can use MRT to edit selfscan.smb module
then rewrite to disc selfscan.smb and module 1F
use hddrepair to run selfscan

Can you please explain "edit selfscan" ? What do you change on the module ? Can you be more precise on the whole procedure ?
