Hi,
I have here SCSI drive form a IRIX system with most probably XFS file system.
The HDD is ok, but I can't access files as file system is not recognized.
Does anyone knows a way to recover files from a XFS file system?
Thanks.

Stellar Phoenix (SCO UnixWare) is NON-DESTRUCTIVE and READ ONLY file & volume recovery software that helps you in recovering your all-important data.
File System supported:
* VxFS [Veritas File System - VxFS1, VxFS2 & VxFS4] and UFS File system.
link removed by moderator. Seems like stellar are very good at spamming hddguru forums and at the same time they have little understanding how hard drives work.

Before posting something, specially comercial posts, you should check if it's really possible to do what you said, as the software you recommended doesn't deal with XFS file system.

You can use Knoppix live CD. It supports XFS filesystem. (XFS structure must be fine).
I have done it before.

But if XFS structures are not fine?

Now I remember....my XFS partition was bad also. I had to repair it first:
There should be "xfs_repair" command.

After repair it, mount it.
Good luck!
