Hi I am having problems with a Maxtor 6Y080L0421011 drive (firmware Yar41BW0)
The drive is making a high pitched wine for about 3 seconds and then clicking then the wine for 3 secs then clicking it keeps repeating this.. I have gotten windows to start one time and then after that the drive would not even be found in the bios tried it in another pc also.. I would like to get the Data off of this drive any suggestions On what part of the drive has a problem?

Thanks for the info but I dont know if i want to spend 400 dolars on software and not know for sure if it will fix the drive. Any other suggestions?

For physical damages of the HD ,such as HEAD and the motor and chips problems,You should replace them with good ones with the help of Head/Platter Exchanger Pro.
As much i know platter exchange is not the good choice(for some drives it is impossible to align after just Losening the platter screw and tight again ).
Does your tool able to align that platter?

I am not talking about any specific model ,but seem you are taking about a specific one..
i found many seagate drive does not work after platter swap so we are used to repair there bearring for recovering data.Does you mean it work for 100% for platter swap.? And what about Multi platter disks....?
As i look these tools video ..Does not seem any Great things in them..
If they have any(special) explain it..

Can you name a few of these Data Recovery Companies, please?
