Hi got dis maxtor diamond max 40gb disk, that staright after it posts in bios gives a secondary master fail :error message: ,tried connecting it via usb cable and xp just picks up the hardware :found hardware: and it stays like that it doesnt move from that point, does anyone have a rough idea what the problem maybe?

The Hard drive has currupted firmware and it could not be fixed by any freeware tools u need pc3k or salvation data .

Could you replace the PCB? and if so, what must I look for on the harddrive, serial,P/N,code,CT,etc...?

Hi Sang I am also from INDIA. I suggest you to not to buy chinese version. it dosen't work proprtly.
