Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 Failed to Detect

Dear All

I would appreciate if someone can help me as my Seagate ST380011A Baraccuda 7200.7 hard drive failed to detect. I bought this hard drive just 9 months and now out of the blue it failed to detect. Can anyone help me how to fix it? I saw the firmware in this website and can these firmware helps and how to use them? Or is there a way around to fix it?

your drive must be in warranty..your are adviced to take to seagate service centre ..get it replaced.

U should check if there is power in the hdd or not that can be identified by holding the hdd in on position and chek if the motor is spinning or not .

Yes you are right, it is still under warranty but I have important data inside which I need to retrieve first.

How do you do that to check? You mean press the ON Button on the computer??

No check if there is power in the hdd like when u switch on the pc put ur hand on the hdd and chk if the motor is spinning or not .
