head exchange will not work with this tool not to mention platter exchange..guys dont waste your money to chinese conman salvation data products or xlysoft.

I totally agree with crudeoyl, a single platter you don't need this tool at all. Head exchange with this tool? I doubt it will work at all on all models and all brands hdd. The movie clips only showed "how to" but will it work? (IMHO my ten fingers works the best).

For single head, you don't need to change the head, as change platter will be easier.

What the tools can do depends on how much we could use it

As I can see this tools just for swap platter and not for change head. Even we can not see how to get head using this tool from its video.. But anyway thanks for the video. I got a idea how to take off plateer easylly from HDA..

There are two benefits for buying this product one is the Platter gripper it makes it easy for exchange platters , two the Magnet remover easy to remove magnets using that tool .
But the main thing that is the Head replacing utility where is that ?

Maybe they don't forget, as you see in the demo video, they do by their hands. However, there're some techniques or you'll probably damage the head or scratch the platter.

And an unexperienced person would damage the head or the platter if someone is experienced with the Changing the head he does not need any of these tools .

I'm talking about the possibility of getting the data.

Experienced ones need fewer tools than the unexperience ones, but not none-tool.

I've been working on a platter extraction kit for some time now, and the plans are due to be looked at by a specialist engineering firm in April 2007.

The first models will be available around July 2007.

The initial batch of 20 kits will be offered at knock down prices to companies who are prepared to offer feedback on the performance of the device.

It is expected that the final product (which will be designed to work on both 2.5 and 3.5" drives) will cost in the region of $1750. (Special Titanium alloys and solid brass, together with micro CNC machining are all expensive.)

My kit is vastly different from the offering I saw in a video some months ago, and is infinitely adjustable.
