Maxtor 52049U4 now clicking after head swap.

Hi!

Have a drive which had one or more bad heads, so have swapped head stack with 100% identical donor drive. All seemed to go OK.

Fired it up, it spins and calibrates, but then clicks 11 times.

Not seen in BIOS, and PC3000 PCI does not support this drive :-(

Any suggestions? I don't know whether something has gone wrong in the head swap, or something has happened to the FW? I have another donor drive, but don't really wanna butcher another if the heads aren't the problem.

Cheers

Sean
