What do u people use for working with Maxtor-91024U2 drives on firmware level as pc3k isa and pci dont support these drives .

I think PC3000 Isa support this drives. Just select PROXIMA on pcmx_dsp menu....I worked this way on a hdd like this.

it would give Configuration loading error or Roadmap error on
pcmx_dsp 2.06

Yes i have checked it works in the pcmx_dsp 2.01 utility not the 2.06 utility even if i plug a completly functional hdd it shows bad overlay and Glist checksum corrupt and same in the bad hdd .
The bad hdd has alot of bad sectors which is a visible firmware issue but how can i identify that what is the problem in the firmware if the ok and the bad hdd have same firmware structure .
