Help with some hdd drives

March 28th, 2007, 20:06

Hi...

Well, i have the following hdd drives that i need some help:

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 firmware 3.54 that i think it's with corrupted firmware but i have no idea on how to make an upgrade of it or where may i download a new firmware. I made the serial interface for this drive but i have no idea how it works. When i try to discovery some thing i changed the hardware name from ST340014A to PPPPPPPP (maybe it was trying to say my name - Paulo)

Western Digital WD200EB-00CPF i don't know the firmware version and how to proceed with dump and upgrade firmware.

Quantum Fireball CX 6.4 Gb well, this one i have no information about

Western Digital Caviar 10.2 Gb this one i'm trying to fix by resoldering the components on to PCB. I submited it to an ultra-sonic cleaner but not tested yet.

All these drivers works when i take them!

Any solution?! Please Help ME!!! huauhauha

Sorry, i need to practice my english :D

Ok, i fixed the Wester Digital Caviar board. Now it's knowed by the bios but when i try to make anything, like a partition, it return an error... There is two damaged drives on the controller (same cable of IDE) maybe it's the problem.
Ah, the drives where in an Asus CUV4X-E Pentium III Coopermine 866MHz with 196Mb of RAM but this mainboard don't give me the rights to manipulate the drives (cause of the erros). Now they are in a Asus anything running a Pentiun 166MHz MMX with 48Mb of RAM that let me do something.
