To everybody
I need to update the firmware for an old Toshiba MK1016GAP v U1.11A harddisk (10GB),but I cant find the firmware anywhere.Please help

The harddisk does not work,so I thought that an update of the FW could help.You are able to communicate with the electronics of the harddisk,but not the read/white areal of the harddisk.Windows does not see the drive,but bios does

Hi,
A FW update will not help U here, in fact I doubt there is any.
U haven't mentioned any unusual sound, so I suppose the drive is not clicking.
Check it with MHDD, run scan and see if it can read the surface.
In case there are regular errors, possibly one head is out of order.

I have scanned the hdd with MHDD and it reports all errors.No unusual sounds.Can the drive be fixed,or is it caput?
