40gig Maxtor show only 10mb

May 21st, 2007, 2:12

I have a Maxtor 40 gig, a 6E040L0711014 to be exact. I had it in an XBOX and had to lock it. I have removed it and unlocked it with the correct key. It will now only show as a 10mb drive, LBA 19999. I have search everything and have come up with not solution, other then flashing the firmware with the hopes it would reset the LBA and recognize it as a 40 gig drive.

Anyone have any idea?

Thanks

Check the HPA function first, before do anything to drive firmware.
You can use MHDD for that.

I tried that...no luck. It only shows LBA 20000 total.

Thanks for the suggestion
