Hi
I have a 2.5" Toshiba harddisk MK1016GAP,which is not functioning.
BIOS sees the drive(after some time) but Windows does not.It is not locked.I have scanned it with MHDD,and it say all errors.Pepe in this forum believes that one of the heads is broken. Can it be fixed,or is the drive caput.
Regards Ibrenex

Do you need data from it or you need to fix the drive?

its really hard to swap heads and if ur doing it for repairing the drive for reuse my friend its better u buy a new one bcz even if u succesfuly swap heads the drive would become unstable and it could be dangerous to the data in the future .

not only is it a difficult job, it will cost you a new drive anyway, for the head donor
