What is model of drive?

It is a Maxtor 52049U4 20GB

The codes on the front of the drive give the following info:

HDA = 04A
PCBA = 03A
Unique = 24A
Code = DA620CQ0

Ok, I have some 52049U4 PCB's.

What's the 5 digit ROM code from the little white label on the PCB (e.g. A4DKB)

Hello,

Sorry, but I have not been on line for a while..

Right, the code on (the one on the large square chip on the PCB) is A3DKP3. It was this main chip that was damaged... :(

I was told 2 days ago in a discussion with a company that does this kind of thing that I need to match 3 specific codes on a similar drive, these are as follows:

HDA = 04A
PCBA = 03A
Unique = 24A

Also, the main code on the PCB (the specific one under where it says Maxtor Draco II) is 301283100.

I am wondering if by matching this I will find a PCB that was made at the same time, and therefore hopefully be near enough identical.

Thanks for you help

if the pcb is dead it would be better if u would repair the pcb , because this pcb is really hard to find .

unfortunately the main PCB in the centre of the board is damaged, I seriously doubt I could remove and replace it :(

You can always try here: http://stores.benl.ebay.be/Marcs-Vintage-Electronics

I add drives on a regular basis.
For the moment this drive is not in the store, but that can change quickly ;)

I have that drive. I was just helping a friend and we rummaging through my box of old drives. I looked this one up to see how big it is :)

Anyway, on the circuit board it says
Maxtor
DRACO II
301283100

Are you still interested in it?
