I have a Maxtor Drive that makes "clicking' on spin up and not recognized in the bios.

Any ideas on where to start?

It makes a series of clicks on power up then the only noise is the spinup..

I have tried the drive in an usb enclosure and I still have the same noise and the drive doesn't appear in the bios.
