Hi everyone,
I am trying to make a 2.5" HDD WD800UE work, with not success. I bought a case to move it from a computer to other and connect it thru USB port.
The problem is that windows XP SP2 does not map it. I can see it in the device manager under HDDs section, but can not access to it from WXP. Do I have to initializate it? if so, HOW?
Thanks.

You open up the computer management under "my computer" and then select the harddisk management (i dont know the correct english terms). There you can choose to initialize and format your disk.
Then XP should show it in explorer.

Hi,
If U have important data on the disk, do not format it, I would first create an image, then do DR by some piece of SW.
