RS-232 data from Hyper Terminal

Here is the data that my 80 gb Seagate harddrive is putting out on the Hyper Terminal. Can anyone tell me what it means.

your seagate drive start in safe mode ( F Level ). You can not do anything in this level. even serial number was not detected.

Can you tell us what you want from this drive.

I would like to be able to get an image of whatever I can off of it.

I think you have killed the new heads by trying to image/copy data win Windows :-(

I've switched the PCB over to one that I had used earlier when the harddrive was communicating and here is the info off the Hyper Terminal.

I ran the HD with Hyper Terminal again after finding out you are supposed to plug in the power after you get Hyper Terminal open and here is what I got for data this time.

I had the same problem

this was my case after solve the problem thanks GOD, be able to get all data from client without exchange heads

No, it says Reserved track defect list, it has nothing to do with user area defects.

Not just some peanut like bad sectors on SA or Damaged F/W...........

The Head 0 has betrayed. As in those sharky Barra. drives, APP code from SA reading procedure starts with uplifting Reserved Track Defect List, (Thoush, it itself rather is a vaccuum like hollow thing), then lets the APP Code step furthur. And in a betrayed head case, It will stop right there on Reading Reserved Track Defect List, and will welcome with an error.

So, replacing the Head 0 can do the job.

Well, there are slight chances about F/W malfunction, depends upon how much time it is taking in showing the error message. Tell me, upon power up, how much time does it take to give the error ? Estimately how many seconds ? If it is taking the normal time, then furthur fancy things can be done without unscrewing the drive.

such as magnetic head upon reaching instruction to read
reserve defect list cannot do this because head is physically "lame".
or just not fit enough to work.

I have changed out the head unit and the pcb and the HD is now recognized by BIOS but will not let Window boot up. It is configured as the Slave. What software is my best bet to at least be able to recover some folders on the HD. Here's the latest data off the RS-232 adapter:

Well, Our seagate repairer english version only work on PCB M14, but your PBC is M21.

1 :Try Reading Some SA Area ,If Possible Without Delay Its Not a HEAD Problem .

To Everyone that helped and gave advice,

After replacing the head unit. The HD was recognized by BIOS but did not show up as a HD in windows. With the advice from PEPE I switched member to inactive with MHDD and after bios booted I then powered up the HD and then it booted Copyr up. I used an old slower computer and was able to run copyr 100% on the HD. Most of the bad sectors were at the beginning of the copy. I believe that they must have been in the first partitian with the operating system. The copy took about 20 hours and had 2,000+ bad sectors. I was able to look at the copy this morning and the only folder I wasn't able to open, because of errors, was the Windows OP folder. Anyway I recovered 100% of the files we were after.
