Controller Board for a Hitachi Travelstar Need Help

June 25th, 2007, 22:37

I have a Hitachi Travelstar ...

Model: IC25N030ATMR04-0
p/n: 08K0850
MLC: H69421

YADDA YADDA YADDA

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows where to get a new controller card. What happened was someone spilt a drink on my laptop. I shut it down and cleaned out the entire computer. I forgot to clean under the hard drive and when I turned on the system nothing happened. Anyway, I need the information on the drive. I am guessing I fried the controller card.

I think it is part number 08K2771. Any help would be greatly apprecited.

Thanks

Shaun

Hi,

U probably have to buy a complete HDD of the same model, but it might be neccessary to change the EEProm in case it is not working. So U may try to get one, but U've got a good chance it won't work by just swapping the boards.

pepe

You can look at my website

http://stores.benl.ebay.be/Marcs-Vintage-Electronics

I cannot say out of memory if such a controllerboard is already there, but if it isn't I will add one the next couple of days.

Dobre
