Hi,
I'm using this SW for several years, and it's worked perfectly. Until now.. Buyed 4 HDs for RAID10, 4 mounths ago. For some reason my HD stoped working, don't know why. Tryed format it and get this:
...over all disc. Windows can not format it too. Is this thing's dead?
Can you recommend something to try?

REMAP won't help.
It's a translator corruption. Needs to be regenerated.

You said you had bad sectors all around the surface.
If it's just 50 MB then it's not translator.

By using HD LLF in Windows, shows me errors over all disc (I think it's becouse OS can't even detect HD.. don't know). With MHDD seems to be a little diferent. I think the last one is more credible.
About PC3k, I don't know if I can get it..

Hi hoakerk if you get errors all over disk is it because you run in LLF in windows or because the drive has been running longer and is getting hot. MHHD does surface scan VERY QUICKLY, drive does not run long enough to get really warm. Lots of WD get worse when hot, this is usually a PCB problem if it displays this symptom.(usually the bads are in different places if you keep track of the locations and scan a few times) If the data is already gone you can try to write 0's to the drive and try to reformat. Either way the drive is on it's way out.

I can make this disk work only with quick format and CHKDSK /R /F. But a problem is that I can't use it with raid10 system. Drive is reported like "Error Occurred (0)". When I try a full format, it's get en error and never ends. This drive has something realy strange.
