i need mods and cps, but i have problems with translator and defect list (60h and 61h) both are bad.
Dou know if on lct15 is an other copy of defect list like in others hdds?

Hi,
I don't think there is another copy. U can do the following:
clear the defect list and restore the user area by manually finding shifts.
that's an ugly thing...

I Read About Shifts .They Happen After Selfscans Mostly .I Do Not Have Much Experience With This Subject .Can You Shed Some Light .Although I Understand The Concept .Live Example Would Be Great

Well,
if U think through the process of the skipping of bad sectors, that is described on several DR related pages, U can easily understand how translator work and understand the borning of shifts when the factory defect list is cleared/modified.
a perfect surface would look like this:
LBA 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
in case one sector is detected bad:
LBA 0 1 2 3 x 4 5 6 7 8 9
if U clear the reference for LBA 4 from plist:
LBA 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
^
LBA 4 will be bad and LBA 5 will be what was LBA 4 previously.
U have to find shift points and correct the image accordingly to have the files contain their previous content.
