Thanks for help darkforce1. :good:

My point is that I need to use the PCB and HSA to build media disk characterization; i have nano-stage positioning which is used for moving the sample medium underneath the fixed head and doing write/read pattern bits on the sample.

I plan to use the PCB and HSA and then control read/write on level-7; but after removing the media of the drive, it cannot go to any levels due to it need to load data from SA.

If you know how to copy SA and load it manually to the RAM of PCB. Please help me..

-Thanks in advance & best regard.

I dont think you can go to level T without HDA.
Even if you can load APP code to Memory Buffer. it still can not bring you to level T. got example to Load APP code in memory Buufer is using Command R and follow with Command j to run it. This command will try to load APP code and spin up HDA and try to search Overlay Code. If Drive got nothing problem it will not load CERT code. Cert Code will only loaded If drive got something problem.
If you can modified APP code then it think you can do that without HDA, but you need to built yout own APP code that will support your work...
If my information is wrong please correct me.. :)

Thanks
Aping.

In PC3000 you can load the app code in memory using spin safe option. This will load the App code and this will not spin up HDA.

Keep Smiling. It Improves your face value

Those who do not have Pc3k PCI probably will need some other way to load stuff in ram like using SDLD... :D
