I have a hard disk Seagate ST320413A 3.54 U5. Which knocks and gives this terminal MSG
Interface task reset
1024k x 16 buffer detected
U5 - 1_Disk 3.54 11-03-00 08:01 coonend
Power Cycling
ATReset
Ref 01F8 - Head Mask 0001 - Switch to full int.
$Head Mask 0001 - Switch twwitch to full int.
$Head Mask 0001 - Switch to full int.
$Head Mask 0001 - Head Mask 0001 - Switch to full int.
$Head Mask 0001 - Switch to full int.
$Head Mask 0001 - Head Mask 0001 - Switch to full int.
$Head Mask 0001 - Switch to full int.

Some times it gives head Mask 0000
What could be done to recover data other then head change.

Hi,
I am afraid I cannot suggest anything other than head swap. Maybe cleaning it could help too.
I experienced once that the limiter did not let the head to position properly on the outer cylinder, I had to bend it a bit to avoid this. But I don't remember what the terminal response was in this case.
