Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

hello all,
first i'd like to say that this is a great forum and i'll definitely be browsing (lurking more). i did a search for books relating to this field and didn't have any luck. i'm curious to know if anyone can point me in the direction of some good titles relating to hard drives and/or data recovery. i've found a few from amazon but don't want to risk $50 on a book telling me to put the drive in the freezer.
thanks in advance,

If you're interested in file systems, this is a great book:

No one book (IMHO) will provide all the information. Years of patience, testing and luck... some recent new titles include "DATA RECOVERY Tips and Solutions" ISBN 1-931769-56-7.
