Can I format a SATA drive the same way I do an ATA drive or is there a special format I must use.

here is the download link for the Disk Manager from Seagate but it formats all the hard disk all manufacturer no matter IDE or SATA.
I have tried many time to upload in file area of forum but no success so I have to upload it on rapidhsare
