I have a problem with 2.5 toshiba hdd the problem is when i connect it to a ide convertor in my pc with victoria there is no power in the hdd and it reports readiness DRDY and DSC i cannot hear any motor spinning nor any heads parking , on pressing F4 it does not show id and give ABRT error .
Is this a FW problem or pcb .
Thanks .

The heads are probably parked over the platter, preventing start-up.
Open the HDA and return the head stack to its normal position.

When you apply power, listen carefully. Can you hear a quiet "buzz buzz sound"?
If so, then jono-ats is correct
