may peace be upon you hello i have hdd maxtor n40p with z letter problem i got the ldr file then i start in safe mode reading modules from the bad hdd then overwrite them again then i change from sfae mode to normal then regenrate translator but when i try to over write hdd in universal tool it gives errors what to do?

also i tried to erase security it gives me error message frozen locked mode?

What kind of errors does it give ? Check in victoria and did the hdd report its orignal name after fw repair .

some one told me if you repair maxtor use alt sa will be fast but plz i have no time to read manual tell me how

ok here is what u should do get firmware of that hdd with same code and capacity load ldr from that menu goto ALT SA option click on "Program 2" and press ok then start utility and check fw.
