1. HD Doctor for Maxtor is a Hardware device.

2. HDD Firmware Repairer Pro is not a free product, it is copy protected with dongle, so no warez.

You cannot fix this with free s/w.

Sorry :-(

thanx,

ok just a simple question :) i got maxtor 80gb 6y080p0 calypso family,

is there anyway to fix its firmware without a specific hardware, using just my own pc and software ?

im thinkin about pc-3000.. ?

Re: need help realy badly, so please help with maxtor diam9plus

Nope. Nothing you can do with standard PC & free software.

PC-3000 is partly hardware based too.

And VERY expensive.

Only if u have a lot of knowdlegment about ATA protocol´s ,know Vendor commands, know about programming language , on this language, make your own tools to access vendor tracks, and try to repair it maybe u can do it this task by your own but , its not a easy job

the cheapest way is do it yourself, but it can take years just to learn how to perform the programming language..

you can try AFF service. maybe they can help u with some fee ( anyway it's more cheap than buying those stuff 8) if you just planning to make one recovery )
