Toshiba Recovery Tough Nut to crack

September 10th, 2007, 13:38

Hi friends
I got a Toshiba 1.8" Hard disk for data recovery. Model No. is MK8009GAH. though it is a UDMA 100 Hard disk its interface is quite differnt than Hitachi 1.8" Hard disk.
This particular hard disk is from a Dell lattitude laptop. It has additional SATA conversion adapter , i tried to power it up , but it is not spinning.
I need suggestion how to go ahead with its recovery.Does anyone know adapter to convert it to 3.5 " IDE.?
Thank you

This is a ZIF connector.

I got my adaptor from http://www.span.com

Search for "ZIF to IDE adaptor"

Most common fault with these drives is stiction.

Hope this helps?
