In DE i can see logical structure but get read errors .Is this because of bad sectors in SA area? . What would be the best
plan to recover data.
Any help Suggestion needed.
Thanks

Hi Hddbug,

I've got a similar case. Many modules corrupt.
However, if you read them with the utility, you can use composite read and most modules can be recoverd. I'm going to use hotswap to get the data.
Just waiting for the donor-drive to arrive.

I think this will also be the best option for you.

Best reagards,

Dobre

Hello
Can one still recover the Data if both the S-LIST and T-LIST is damaged.
Though PC-3000 can REBUILD both but to Rebuild one other has to be good.
No clue what to do in case both are damaged.
Any Suggestions ????

You had select wrong family. Use PALO family.

There is no Head 2, drive has only two heads in normal configuration, 0 and 1.

I have no "automatic" solution, only manually. Both lists (S- T- list) can be fixed using D-list. It's need to deep understand what are you doing.

Can someone tell me what SLIST, ALIST and WRO LIST are and how does it affect the translator?

It's for a different model (HD103UJ), but hopefully it will still be of some use.

If you would like to analyse your own SP0802N drive, I would be interested in collaborating with you.

I have a few ideas which might prove useful, such as truncating various SA (MC) modules.

For example, ISTM that the size of the DLIST module could be reduced to just a few sectors instead of the 0x284 sectors allocated to it. Similarly, MOVLY001 could be reduced to 0x34 sectors instead of 0x18C.

I'm starting to study SAMSUNG.
I have posted this message here because I am looking for information because I have almost nothing. I'm looking for information little by little.
I'm doing tests with this disk.
Code:
Family: M7E 2.5''
Model:SAMSUNG HM321HI
Technology mode key : .....................: OK

Extend disk identify:
Load extend diskIdentify : ................: OK
Flash Version : ...........................: 2AJ03jkM.d31
Heads Number : ............................: 2
SA SPT : ..................................: 1088

I will see what options the MRTLAB allows me.
The HDD has bad sectors, but it works.
If I erase all the SA can it be recovered?
The MRTLAB says it has 255 SA tracks, but it reads well from 0 .. 63 and then it gives read errors. I'm thinking that the SA is on the first 64 tracks.
