Question about Platter alignment in TPI accuracy

October 25th, 2007, 22:32

Does anyone know the accuracy of platter alignment must be ?
What are number of bits per revolution? Bits per rev could be inferred from the total data capacity divided by the number of tracks? This in turn could be calculated from physical media width and tpi.
Are all brand of HDD with same tpi?

Thank's for any feedback.
