Quantum fireball Plus AS 40G how to find identical head?

How to find out matching Head in Quantum fireball Plus AS 40G ? The alphabetical code on HA must be same , where is the alphabetical code located? firmware must be the same? country must be the same too?

it is almost impossible to find a matching head for AS40, the heads' alignment is unique.

So how to resolve the issue of the head's alignment? There is no form of matching codes on the label that can be used?

Hi,

I don't have deep experiences with AS and I never had anything to do with 4 head AS.
the most I did was AS30, but I could bring it alive for some minutes only.
the first character of the code is the most important and it must be matched, it is related to head type.
Recently I had however an LC30 drive which has 4 heads too, but it didn't worked out good...

hi spildit preamp is dead so i dont think cleaning will make any difference.

Then it is easy!!!!
just replace the preamp, the old heads are probably OK, and more, perfectly aligned!!!

thats true Pepe, but unfortunately one of the head is busted and bent.
