Diskmaster aka Emak

November 9th, 2007, 1:08

The only competitior who openly advertises to be superior to pc3000 is Diskmaster (http://www.dataclinic.co.uk/data-recove ... e-tool.htm) Unfortunately nothing is available from them .
is there any one lucky to have done beta test of the product? Is it a hype or it Really WORKS as advertised?

Subject: Diskmaster question
Is it too late to sign up as a beta tester, and are there beta tester openings in the USA?
How well does this tool function compared to PC-3000, HRT, or SalvationData Products ?
What about pricing comparisons ?
What other products do you have available for sale?

Thank you
Steve"

I'm still waiting on the newsletter also :))

Hi,

I have also sent them an email on 05.10.2007, I received the reading receipt of the message on 07.11.2007, it seems they don't read messages daily :)
And of course they haven't replied yet, not even a single line that Steve received...
I remember I sent them an email long ago which was lost in the ether (or on their computer :) ), I haven't even received the receipt...
As the song says: Sad but true...

I also contacted them - months ago.

Nothing since....

Don't know about the ether, Pepe, but certainly some black hole there....

All,

Thank you for your interest in Diskmaster. I can appreciate your frustration at the lack of solid information regarding this product. Development continues - but there really is very little to show / tell you at the moment that relates to a finished data recovery product.

For example, some of the current / completed tasks are as follows (Dec 07):
- The firmware that drives the hardware board is now in a stable and robust condition
- Various cloning options have been written and are being coded into the GUI
- Various UDMA data transfer options are being tested
- Module checksumming calculations on Maxtor drives are being worked on
- etc. etc.

What I will do next week (w/c 4.12.07) is write a PDF and send it to everyone on the Diskmaster mailing list with some further details about the development. It'll probably be a 'what we're currently working on' rather than 'here is what it will look like' because the product is not yet at this stage.

What we do have is a Diskmaster demonstrator product - and last week, various features of Diskmaster were demonstrated to visitors from Europe and North America who visited our offices in Manchester for a week. If you'd like to visit us in the New Year for a demonstration you are welcome - obviously your input would be greatly appreciated also. Please send me an email - chris@dataclinic.co.uk

I hope this post updates you sufficiently until the PDF next week.

Regards,

Chris
ps. We read forums occassionally, the best way to contact us is always directly rather than posting on a forum and waiting for a response.

Data Clinic, do you plan to present your prototype at the CES 2008?

I have been eagerly awaiting the launch of this elusive diskmaster product. However I am begining to doubt its existence, let alone claims by the company of upcoming 'beta testing'. Has anyone actually seen this product in action?

The more I read up on this, it is becoming obvious no one really knows when its going to be launched. Chris, who else besides you can tell us more realistic dates and features about this product? Let's hear from the developers if they even exist. :ddown:

Up!
So, how is it going with DataMaster aka Emak, eh?

Dataclinic is now selling SalvationData stuff exclusively in the UK, so I guess it's going pretty well!

Hi, Starling,

Yes. It will be a good opportunity for both Data Clinic and SalvationDATA. More European clients will get real time support and training .

Regards,

Laura

Come one, guys!

The biggest tool for data recovery people is Patience!. We can not lose it at any time.

I believe that Data Clinic will release the DiskMaster within this Year. It is not an easy job to develop a good device, especially an almost perfect one.

we can wait and see.

Laura

Hello Everyone - & thanks for all the emails :)

As Laura from Salvation has already said (& as many of you probably already know), we have signed an agreement with SalvationDATA that covers many interesting data recovery related things... the most immediate of which is the availability of full English language training courses and English language support for all SalvationDATA products. The training courses have been developed with and approved by SalvationDATA and will begin in June / July 08. More information will be available when our training web site launches in the next week or so. I will of course post the details here once everything is ready.

With regards to Diskmaster, the last two contributors to this thread are correct: please be patient !

All the best everyone,

Chris

Thanks for *your* opinion, *my* opinion is that you have probably never tried developing a hardware/software product and taking it to market. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Chris
