After exchange of pcb hd does not emit strange sounds and recognizes with these characteristics:

Hi Sempre,
For hotswap, you need the plist and adaptives from the SA first. Can you read the SA with this pcb?
I dont know for these Marvell's but if they have an eeprom and it survived, resolder it on your donorboard.
I know that for caviars an exact pcb match sometimes is not enough; i have to switch the eeprom too. Its possible that after that the data can be read without hotswap.

Hi,
As far as I can see you have the ROM chip on this Pcb (right below the Sata connectors), just desolder and resolder it to your donor Pcb...If your donor Pcb also got the ROM chip of course, and not uses the embedded one.
