Looking for a PCB (Maxtor 52049U4 20 Gb UDMA 66)

November 12th, 2007, 17:43

Hi people,

I'm new on this forum and hope to get help with you all gurus.
I have a computer which power supply has crashed (so did the mother board, the CD drive and the HDDs !). Now, I'm looking for a PCB for one of those drives. It is a Maxtor 52049U4 drive (20Gb, UDMA 66).

The table on the back side says :
Model : 52049U4
HDA : 04A
PCBA : 04A
Unique : 52A
Firmware : DA620CQ0
DP/N : 000481GK
S/N K40EHV9C

Now the front side says :
DSP 040100500 D721634FPGF AF-03A08KW
PTLS 2271 CZ

The card name is Maxtor DRACO II 301283100 but I have already shipped hard drives with the same card name with no success. I suppose I need exact values on some chips.

When the current PCB is on the disk, it does not switch on at all. When I replace it with one of the cards I mentioned above, the disks starts up normally, is recognized in the bios but can not be accessed in the OS (Ubuntu Linux)

I hope you can help,
Best regards,
MyselF
