Hitachi Travelstar clicking

November 18th, 2007, 2:01

Hi All:

I have 80Gb hitachi travelstar. Its not recognizable by bios and is making clicking noise.

What are my options. The model number is IC25N080AZTMR04-0.

Thanks for taking out time.

JK

Hi JK,

This drive probably needs a headstack replacement.
This can only be done by a professional.

Best regards,

Dobre

Yep, agree with Dobre.

Common on these drives (especially ones found in Dell PC, I seem to find).

If you're in UK, I can help you.
